I have been thoroughly enjoying your series on orchid sowing! Your detailed explanations and practical tips are incredibly helpful. I have a question regarding the pressure cooker you use for sterilizing. You mentioned that it must be 15 PSI. In the UK, I've only found a pressure cooker that can pressurize up to 100 kPa/14.5 PSI. Would this be sufficient, or does it specifically need to be 15 PSI/121 Celsius? Thank you for your guidance and for sharing your knowledge with us!

Thanks to your video related to advanced phalaenopsis care, it made me discover more orchids outside of what I knew before! Also, picked up new interest to collect summer blooming orchids & obtained the hybrid seedlings that who knows what the flower will look like 😂 and purchased a vanda for experimentation to culture in appartement

Thank you very much for your wonderful content. I really enjoyed the propagation from dry seed series. I’m curious, what fertilizer do you prefer. I tried searching the channel for this, I’m sorry if I’ve missed it. Couldn’t find it. I’ve even using 1/4 strength miracle gro with distilled water with my small orchid collection. It’s worked well with my propagated cuttings of lilacs and hydrangeas. But I question now if the stuff that’s working for you may be a better way to go. Thanks again.

You're very knowledgeable and have a great interest it seems but I would not call these advance tips.. If you're basing your thoughts on small, store bought orchids grown in your apartment, maybe thats part of the struggle. I'm a flower designer at a busy flower shop in NYC mainly doing live orchid arrangements and the boss, who is a master florist, well.. Lets say, great information but could use more insight. We get premium long stemmed and mini orchids from multiple nurseries from around the world daily. Its just a different level with high quality, mature, well taken cared of plants and people paying crazy amounts, so it HAS to be top quality and the arrangement has to look like its worth the price.. Great job, though and nice orchid color profiles!

Great video, as usual. This summer I ordered two phrags and a cattleya. I ordered Phrag Hanne Popow and Phrag Eumelia Arias, both kovachi hybrids from Euagenera. They all came without a label. I just wanted to say that my Phrag Hanne Popow is growing great and not climbing out of the pot. Do you think that perhaps my hanne popow isnt what I ordered. I have Phrag Holy Smoke which I bought in 2016 and phrag Inca Embers which I bought in about 2005 ish and these plants are still thriving. By the way, There were two plants in each bag so I ended up with four phrags. I have followed all your advise on growing all my summer growing phalaenopsis. And they are all thriving.Thanks for all your videos.

Honestly so glad I watched this, I've just started a jewel orchid terrarium and I layered it with leca/hydro granules, a plastic mesh layer to stop the substrate falling into the drainage layer, then went with a substrate mix of French bark, sphagnum moss, charcoal and perlite. I was worried I didn't set it up too well but watching your video you ticked all the materials I used so I feel very relieved :)

How are the baby orchids going? What media did you use? I want to try this myself.
